The Feral
Human Society.
Reclaim your True Nature. Reclaim your Warrior Spirit.
A living community of athletes, hunters, farmers, wildcrafters, and uncompromising performers exploring the feral impulses of our deepest humanity.
(Especially of an animal) in a wild state, especially after escape from captivity or domestication. Resembling a wild animal. Living outside the bounds of domestication, returning to an original, untamed nature.
Why Go Feral?
Humanity, born of the womb of a living biosphere, is an organic species with a deep and irrevocable symbiosis with Mother Earth. As a keystone species, we are granted the dignity and grace to impose our will upon the Earth and make our nests more comfortable. Sadly, many of us have chosen hoarding and greed over temperance and humility.
Technocrats have offered ever-shinier tools and gadgets. Before we further prostrate ourselves to digital overlords, we must ask: has modern civil society matured enough to reliably call upon our Higher Minds to evaluate the necessity, utility, and ramifications of rapidly emergent technology?
The remedy. The antidote. The invitation back into the Sacred Garden — is to Go Feral.
The Feral Curriculum.
We explore and share the feral impulses of pioneering individuals and native groups across global ecosystems — hunting, collecting, regeneratively cultivating, and innovating for millennia.
Climate-appropriate landscape management & syntropic agroforestry
Holistic livestock management in variable climates and terrain
Ethical hunting & primitive survival skills
Wildcrafting for food & medicine
Backcountry adventure preparation, nutrition & skill development
Regenerative textiles & fibershed initiatives, especially wool
Homesteading, fermentation & farm-to-table cookery
Regenerative cacao & chocolate craft
And so much more — the curriculum grows with the community
The Feral Mind.
Aristotle identified five intellectual virtues in his seminal work, Nicomachean Ethics — five ways the soul arrives at truth. The Feral Human cultivates all five, not just the ones society rewards.
- Sophia — Wisdom; rational intuition directed toward the highest objects
- Episteme — Scientific knowledge of necessary, unchanging truths
- Nous — Rational intuition of first principles
- Phronesis — Practical wisdom; the ability to discern the right course of action in real situations
- Techne — Craft knowledge, art, skill; the intelligence of the hands
Four Arms of the
Feral Human Project.
Field testing every formula in extreme conditions. Backcountry skiing, alpine climbs, jungle traverses, multi-day hunts — real performance in real terrain. This is where the proof lives.
Real-food recipes combining our cacao and handcrafted chocolates with grass-finished beef, pasture-raised dairy, wild game, organ meats, and regenerative and wildcrafted ingredients.
The bridge between our 12.5-acre regenerative cacao farm in La Tigra and the wild places we roam. Documenting the journey from seed to bar to trail — and everywhere in between.
The growing community of athletes, hunters, regenerative farmers, wildcrafters, and uncompromising performers. Hyperlocal and remote. United by values, not geography.

A relentlessly tenacious former World Cup athlete and Biodynamic permaculturist who has shifted his attention to the challenges of regenerative farming. Founder of Pura Vida Chocolate — one of North America's only farm-to-table, bean-to-bar chocolates — and its parent company, Pura Vida Gardens.
Currently building out a long-term regenerative cacao polyculture agroforestry project on his farm near La Tigra, Costa Rica. He makes his home in Paonia, Colorado, making chocolates and milking cows when he's not planting trees in the jungle.
